¡¡ Lhasa wetland, the local name is lhalu wetlands. It is the highest city wetlands in the word. It's situated in the northwest of the Lhasa, located at 29lat 47'N and 91lat 21'E. This wetlands covers an area of 6.5square kilometer, To the north are high mountains, which are to be the part of Gangdis mountains', to the east, the wetlands border the lhasa river, which flows from Niangre, with Duldi ditch to the north-east. Bareekur road lies in the eastern. The boundary to the south is the Lhasa River and Zhonggan canal. It's average elevation is 3.645m, the annual average atmospheric temperature is 7.5 oC, the annual precipitation is 445mm, the annual average humidity is 45%, the annual evaporation is 2.206mm. The annual sunshine time is 3.088h, and the annual average radiotolerance is 186 square kilocalorie (kcal). Lhalu wetland is the typical QingZang highland wetlands, which belongs to reed marshes, Peat morass category. This wetland has high elevation and simple topography. The main plant type is aquatic and semi-hydrophytes. The main animal type is aquatic animal; most of the vertebrates are migrant animals. This wetland is also an important habitat of the black-neck crace, which is on the brink of extinction. Lhalu wetlands is known as the " lung of the lhasa", it's very important for Lhasa to alleviate the windy dusty air and to regulate the environmental condition (such as conditions the temperature and the humidity). It is also of great value for scientific research, teaching and studying and for the tourist industry.
